National Games Kerala 2010 Logo Released
The logo, lucky symbol and the caption for the 2010 National games are announced. The ceremony was conducted at Trivandrum. The inauguration of the National Games 2010 logo and lucky symbol was done by Kerala chief minister Mr.V.S Achutanandan. The slogan for the game event was done by former minister Mr. G.Kartikeyan.
Chief minister Mr. V.S Achutanantan announced that the National Games is an opportunity to improve the sports management in the state. He also said that the national games can identify new sports personals and improve them. He invited the private and public sector companies to sponsor and bring forward new teams.
Kerala sports minister M.Vijayakumar given the presidential address. Prizes were given to those who designed the logo and lucky symbols by Minister M.A Baby. Minister C.Divakaran was the chief guest of the function.
Kerala chief secretary Neela Gangadharan,Sports council president Mr.T.P Dasan and National Games C.E.O M.S jaya delivered their talks in the function. National games 2009 was held at Jharkand and 2011 National games will be held at Goa.
The National Games 2010 will be conducted from May 1 to 14.University campus of Trivandrum will be the venue for main stadium.
Location for national games is changed
National games location is changed from jharkhand due to the non peaceful situation of the state. According to early decision of the sports ministry the national game will start in between November 21st to December 5th. Competitions will conduct in ranchi, jamshadpoor, and dhanbhadh. But these places are not secure for conducting national games. And also this state is controlled by the president. Due to these reasons the national game will not take place in jharkhand. The thirty fifth national game will take place in Kerala. According to IOA there is no problem for conducting competitions in Kerala. The next national game conduct in Kerala, but the time and other news’s will get only after the visit of sports minister.
