Malayalam Movie Kerala Cafe

The released Film Kerala Cafe with ten directors is a successful film of Malayalam film industry. The innovative idea of the combination of 10 directors for a single film for the first time in the world became a success. All the directors especially Ranjith who too up the major responsibility of combining the ten short film into one can be proud of them selves.

The stories of Kerala Cafe are appealing to the audience’s mind. ‘Nostalgia’ by the director M Padmakumar and cast by Dileep, Navya Nair, Babu Namboodiri, etc. adds special beauty to the film Kerala Café. Shankar Ramakrishnan’s direction of ‘Island Express’ is cast by Prithviraj, Jayasurya, Rahman, Kani, etc.

The ten stories of Kerala Cafe are nourished with the actors of Kerala Cafe and the director Shaji Kailas in his part of Lalitham Hiranmayum acted mainly by Suresh Gopi and Jyothirmayi. One of the directors of Kerala Café Uday Ananthan in his Mrithunjayam brought Fahad Fazil, Thilakan, Reema Kalungal, etc. to bring out his idea well. The actors of Kerala Café including Salim Kumar, Kalpana, Santhadevi, etc. under the direction of Anwar Rashid in ‘Bridge’ and actresses of Kerala Café including Shwetha Menon in ‘Aviramam’ by B. Unnikrishnan makes the film more perfect. Kerala Café actor Siddique is appraisable.

There is a good combination of scene sequences in the ‘Off Season’ by Kerala Café director Shyama Prasad and Kerala Café actors Suraj Venjaranmood and Vindhyan.

Revathy, the female director in Kerala Cafe did a marvelous job with Srinath, Sona Nair and Archana in Revathy’s ‘Makal’. The heroes of Kerala Café like Jagathy Sreekumar and heroines in Kerala Café like Nitya Menon worked really hard to make ‘Happy Journey’ under the direction of Anjali Menon. The combination of Mammootty and Sreenivasan in Lal Jose’ ‘Puram Kazhchakal’ makes the movie Kerala Café the best entertainer movie of Malayalam. The combination of ten different film makers is a hit in the theatres of Kerala.

Kerala Cafe is the result of the dedication of innumerable people of Malayalam film industry. The major part of credit for the success of the film Kerala Café goes to Ranjit the director. In fact we cannot say that Ranjit is the director of the movie Kerala Café as there are ten of them with the theme ‘Journey’ through out. It is a ten in one film. The ten directors of the movie are the famous and fabulous directors of Mollywood. The line starts with Lal Jose and continues by Shaji Kailas, B. Unnikrishnan, Anwar Rasheed, Syama Prasad, M. Padma Kumar, Ravati, Anjali Menon, Uday Anandan and Sankar Ramakrishnan.

All the ten stories as directed by ten different directors were also shot and edited by other ten each professional. Moreover, at the end it was Vijay Sankar who edited the ten stories and made it a single super hit movie. All the short films in Kerala Café take the duration of 10 – 12 minutes. Unlike all the other movies the film Kerala Café does not reveal who are the directors of each story at the beginning. Instead the directors and technicians are revealed only at the end.

Many of the fabulous actors take part in Kerala Café like Mammootty, Sreenivasan, Suresh Gopi, Jyothirmayi, Siddiq, Sweta Menon, Sudeesh, Salim Kumar, Kalpana, Suraj Venjaramoodu, Dileep, Navya Nair, Sree Nath, Sona Nair, Augustine, Jagathi Sree Kumar, Thilakan, Meera Nandan, Sukumari, Pridvi Raj, Jaya Surya, Rahman, Maniyan Pilla Raju and so on. And we can simply take it for granted that a movie with these many talented actors will be a great success.
