Congress announces its 81 candidates for Kerala Elections 2011

India National Congress has announced its candidates for its 81 Legislative Assembly Constituencies in Kerala. According to the list, leader of opposition Mr. Oommen Chandy will be contesting from Puthupally in Kottayam district and KPCC President Ramesh Chennithala  from Haripad in Alapuzha district. After long discussions, the UDf has given seat to 23 sitting MLA’s,7 women candidates and 41 new candidates. Discussion on 24 seats was over on Tuesday mid night. when seats was published several top congress politicians were  rejected. The rejected top congress politicians were A.V. Gopinad, M.M .hassan, T. Siddique, Padmaja Venugopal, Suranad Rajasekaran, Mohan Kumar, P.Mohanraj, Prof. G. Balachandran etc. How many of them will win in this Kerala Assembly Election 2011?

Kerala Congress (M) candidates announced

Kerala Congress (M) has announced its candidates for the 2011 Kerala Assembly Elections. The list for the total 15 seats were announced after a marathon meeting between the Party members. Party chairman Mr. K.M. Mani will be leading the party from Pala. Party sitting MLA from Thiruvalla Mr. Joseph .M. Puthussery has announced his disagreement for the candidate list. Earlier party state seceratory Mr.Stephen George had left  the party after Mani had denied him his Kaduthuruthy seat.

Muslim League announces its candidates for Kerala Assembly Elections 2011

Muslim League has announced its candidate list in 22 seats out of 24 for the coming Kerala Elections 2011. The list was finalized after the party parliamentary committee meeting held under Panakkad Hyderali Shihab Thangal. Other members in the parliamentary committee are General Secretary P.K.Kunhalikutty, E.Ahammed, E.T. Mohammad Basher, Syed Sadikkali Shihab Thangal. Candidates for Guruvayoor and Eravipuram Seats are also announced. Parliamentary committee members including P.K. Kunhalikutty and E.T. Mohammed Basher and Dr. M.K. Muneer will be main Candidates for Muslim League.

CPI announced their candidates for 23 seats

CPI on yesterday announced their final candidate list for their 23 seats out of 27 seats for Kerala assembly elections which will be conducted on 13th April 2011. The list as earlier announced by CPI has left out 8 sitting MLA’s including two cabinet ministers and a deputy speaker Mr. Jose Baby who have completed two terms as MLA. The ministers left out were Revenue Minister Mr. K.P.Rajendran, Minister of Forests Mr. Binoy Viswom. Food and Civil Supplies Minister Mr. C.Divakaran and Agriculture Minister Mr. Mullakkara Ratnakaran who have completed only term will remain in the list. The names were decided giving keen interest for the youth candidates. Ex MP and state committee member of CPI Mr. Panyann Ravindran is on the list.

UDF seat sharing finally completed on the very next day after the LDF Seat sharing. According to UDF convener P.P.Thankachan, UDF has finally completed their seat sharing with 81 seats for Indian National Congress (INC). Seat division was finally completed as Kerala Congress (M) has finally compromised their demand for 18 seats to 15. According to Kerala Congress (M) chairman Mr. K.M.Mani, they will be currently compeering in 15 seats, but have made some arrangements for one more seat with the Congress. Muslim League will remain the second largest party in UDF with 24 seats. Earlier Socialist Janatha Party and Kerala Congress (Jacob) had agreed to compromise with 7 and 3 seats respectively. Also JSS has agreed to go on with their Kaipamangalam seat. Earlier JSS has agreed to go with 4 seats which includes Cherthala, Karunagapally, Mavelikkara and Kaipamangalam. Kerala Congress ( M ) is expected to compete in Pala, Kaduthuruthy, Poonjar, Changanachery, Idukki, Kothamangalam, Erinjalakkuda, Perambra, Thiruvalla, Thodupuzha,Kanjirapally, Ettumanoor,Punaloor or Kuttanad seats and one seat from Palakkad and Kannur districts.

The final seat division will be as follows

Congress                           – 81 seats

Muslim League              – 24 seats

Kerala Congress (M)   – 15 seats

Socialist Janatha          – 7 seats

JSS     –4 seats

CMP   – 3 seats

Kerala Congress (Jacob)  – 3 seats

LDF Seat Sharing finalised; CPIM takes major share.

ldf conveenorCPI(M) lead Left Democratic Front (LDF) finalized their seat sharing for the coming Kerala State Legislative Assembly elections which will be conducted on 13th April 2011. Other political parties in the Left Democratic Front includes Communist Party of India (CPI), Janata Dal (S), Revolutionary Socialist Party (RSP), Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), Indian National League (INL), Kerala Congress (Thomas) and Congress(S). Among the total 140 legislative assembly seats 93 seats will be allocated by CPI (M) themselves.  CPI will be taking 27, Janata Dal (S) will get 5 seats and RSP and NCP will get 4 seats each, INL and Kerala Congress (Thomas) will get 3 seats and one seat for Congress (S). Among the 93 seats for CPI(M) in which 8 seats are allotted for CPIM supported independent candidates.

The 85 seats includes Uduma, Manjeswaram, and Thrikkarippur  in Kasargod district, Payyannur, Taliparamba, Kalliassery, Azhikode, Dharmadam, Mattannur, Peravur, Thalassery, Kuttiyadi and Perambra  in Kannur District, Balussery, Koyilandy, Kozhikode North, Kozhikode South, Beypore and Thiruvambadi in Kozhikode district, Mananthavady, Sulthan Bathery and Kalpetta in Wayanad district, Wandoor, Kondotty, Perinthalmanna, Mankada, Tanur, Tirur and Ponnani in Malapuram district, Palakkad, Ottappalam, Malampuzha,   Tarur, Thrithala, Nemmara,  Alathur, Kongad, Shoranur and Chittur in Palakkad district, Irinjalakuda, Chalakudy, Kunnamkulam, Chelakkara, Manalur, Guruvayur, Puthukkad and Wadakkancherry in Thrissur district, Kochi, Kalamassery, Aluva, Perumbavoor, Kunnathunad, Vypeen, Thrikkakkara, Thripunithura, Piravom, in Eranakulam district, Idukki, Devikulam and Udumbanchola in Idukki district, Ettumanur, Kottayam, Puthuppally and Changanassery in Kottayam district, Aroor, Alappuzha, Ambalappuzha, Kayamkulam, Chengannur, Mavelikara in Alappuzha district, Ranni, Aranmula, Konni in Pathanamthitta district, Kottarakara, Pathanapuram, Kundara, Kollam, Varkala, in Kollam district, Attingal, Vamanapuram, Kattakada, Kazhakuttam, Nemom, Neyyattinkara and Parassala in Thiruvanathapuram district.

The rest eight are Ernakulam, Thodupuzha, Poonjar, Kunnamangalam, Vallikkunnu, Nilambur, Tavanur and Vattiyurkavu assembly constituencies.

The seats for CPI are Kanhangad in Kasargod district, Irikkur, Nadapuram in Kannur district, Manjeri,  Tirurangadi and Ernad in Mallapuram district, Mannarkkad nad Pattambi in Palakkad district, Thrissur, Nattika, Ollur, Kodungalloor and Kaipamangalam, in Thrissur district, Muvattupuzha and Paravur, in Ernakulam district, Peerumade in Idikki district, Vaikom and Kanjirappally in Kottayam district, Cherthala, Adoor and Haripad in Alapuzha district, Karunagapally, Punalur, Chadayamangalam and Chathannur in Kollam district, Chirayinkeezhu and Nedumangad in Thiruvanathapuram district.

The Janata Dal(S) will get Kovalam ,Thiruvalla , Angamaly,  Malappuram and Vadakara.  The RSP in Eravipuram, Aruvikkara, Chavara  and Kunnathur. NCP will get Kuttanad , Pala, Kottakkal and Elathur. The INL in Kasaragod, Koothuparamba and Vengara. The Kerala Congress (Thomas) in Thiruvananthapuram  , Kaduthuruthy and Kothamangalam and the  Kannur for Congress (S).
