Kerala Legislative Assembly Election Results Announcement 2011
Election Results and Leads are available on Internet
All the election results and leads are available in election officer’s websites at the time of counting itself. Medias can directly collect information from the CEO’s server. The latest election results and leads are updating with the help of trend software which was developed by NIC. In all counting centers, halls are arranged for each constituency and each hall include 11 to 15 tables. It will arrange on the basis of size of the hall. Counting supervisor and counting assisters are included in each table. The representatives of each parties will be placed in behind of barricades. Counting also take place in returning officer’s table.
The counting will start after taking voting machines from strong room. The postal votes will be count on first. It will be counted in returning officer’s table. From this time also counting will starts in other tables also. Representatives can also record the number of votes from voting machines display.
There is a separate section for updating voting lists on computer. After getting signature from the observer and returning officer, it will be entering in to the computer. With the help of trend software, total lead will calculate and it will be publish on website. By this facility the recent counting results are available on this website without any delay. The time for announcing the election result will be vary based on the total number of candidate and the facility for calculating machines reading. If the number of candidate is more, then the results will be late. Before lunch break, almost all the results will be announce. From 11 O’ clock itself the lead of each party will be available. Media centers are available in all counting centers and Chief Election Commissioner’s office.

Kerala in Polling Booth Today – How to Vote?
Kerala is going to the polling booth on today 13th April. 2,31,47,871 voters are there in Kerala. About 20,780 polling booths are there. Voting time is from morning 7’o clock to evening 5’o clock. One can cast vote only if he or she got the identity card/proofs approved by the election commission or slip given by election commission. An election commission help desk will be opened at every voting station to give slip to whom slip didn’t get.
From the chief election commissioner of Kerala, Nalini Netto, one can vote only if his or her name is on the voters list. Those whose name is not in the voters list can’t vote. For NRI’s they need to submit their Passport infront of the election officer for voting.
When a voter enters polling booth, he must show his identity card to the polling officer. Then polling officer will give the slip to the voter. After that ink mark will be applied on the finger of the voter. After signing the register slip should be given to the preceding officer.
Only after taking the ink mark by a voter the central control of the electronic voting machine will be turned on, at that time a green light will be turned on in the voting machine. Voter can vote only after the voting machine light is green. When the green light glows, the voter should cast the vote by pressing the button towards the candidate and the sign whom they are voting for. When the button is pressed, a red light will be turned on with a beep sound.
If the green light is not turned on and after casting the vote if the red light is not turned on, voter should inform the election officer.
To check if the name is on the voters list and to find booth in which vote is to be cast can be found from the call center of the election commission number is 1965. You can also send the message to the number 54242 or 537252. Type ele space id card n0 in the message.
VOTERS whose photos are not on electoral rolls and whose electoral photo identity cards and booth slips have mistake(s) can bring one of the following 13 photos IDs and cast their franchise. They must also bring along erroneous photo ID cards.
- Passport
- Driving licence issued up to 28.02.2011
- PAN card
- Service identity card issued to state/central government, PSU, local body or public limited company employees
- Passbook issued by public sector banks/post offices and kisan passbook
- Ex-servicemen’s pension book/pension payment order, ex-servicemen widow/ dependent certificate , old-age pension order, widow pension order issued up to 28.02.2011
- Freedom-fighter ID card
- Property document such as patta and registered deed
- SC/ST/OBC certificate issued up to 28.02.2011
- Arms licence
- Certificate of physical handicap issued by s competent authority up to 20.02.2011
- Job card under NREGA issued up to 28.02.2011
- Health insurance scheme smart card(ministry of labour’s scheme)

Kerala Assembly Elections 2011 Dates Announced
Election Commission today announced the Election date 2011 for 5 states including Kerala and Bengal Legislative Assembly. In Kerala the Election will be in single phase. But in Bengal, its in six phases. The Kerala election will be on April 13 and the results will be announce on May 13. The Election dates of West Bengal are April 18, 23, 27, May 1, 7 and 10. The election date of Tamil Nadu and Puducherry will be on April 13. The election dates of Assam will be in 2 phases and they are April and 11. The results will be announced on May 13 for all these states.
The term of Legislative Assembly of Kerala will be expires on 23-05-2011. The total number of Assembly Constituencies of Kerala are 140, out of them 14 seats are reserved for SC and 2 seats are reserved for ST. The Electoral rolls of all the existing Assembly Constituencies of Kerala are revised and as per the final rolls, the number of electors are 2,29,40,408.
This is the 1st time that NRI Voters have been enabled to be enrolled as voters and would be able to vote in person.
