Film Review of Vellaripravinte Changathi

Film “Vellaripravinte chengathi” directed by Akku Akbar presented the story of a cinema and the persons behind it. The film released on December 23rd. In the film, a story is discovered from the film “Black and white” directed by Augustin joseph forty years ago. The film reveals the story of two lovers of different castes and the difficulties they faced. Main characters in the film Sulekha and Ravi were beautifully presented by Kavya and Dileep.

Recipes of Egg-Bread Roast, Chilli Chicken & Dosha Mix

  1. Egg-bread roast

Ingredientsegg breat roast

  • Bread
  • Eggs   – 3
  • Green Chili  – 2 chopped
  • Onion -1
  • Coriander leafs
  • Ghee – 150 gm
  • salt

Preparation

  • Add chopped onion, green chili, salt and coriander leafs into shattered eggs. Batter the mixture well.
  • Apply the ready mixture on both sides of the bread in thin layer.
  • Heat ghee in a pan and roast the bread on the pan
  • Repeat the above steps. The blend can be used for 1 packet of bread.

Grand Kerala Shopping Fest

Grand kerala shopping festSeason 5 Grand Kerala shopping festival is conducting from Dec 1, 2011 to Jan 15, 2012. The event opening ceremony was inaugurated by Chief Minister OomenChandy on Tuesday Dec 1, 2011 in Kochi. The event is conducting by Kerala tourism department in association with Finance Department, Civil Supply Department, Industries Department and Local Self Government Department. The forty six days long festival will be the central attraction for the tourism and pilgrims. This is a fest that focused on all over the state.  All the 14 districts of Kerala are participating in the festival. The festival has its shopping venues in all district centers, and selected tourist centers. 3000 participants are already registered for the festival. Liquor shops and medical stores are excluded from the fest.  The official closure of the festival would be held in Malappuram on January 21.

Kerala traditional handicrafts, fashionable garments, jewels and gems, home appliances and other items, which are marketing at discount prices, and huge prize offerings up to 101 kg of gold for consumers are the specialty of the season five fest. Consumers from outside Kerala are allowed with 100 % VAT refund. It is a special offer to the tourists for enjoying Kerala style delicious foods and Ayurveda treatment. Tribal participation will also lead the Gala to great success of the year compared to the previous editions. Consumers from outside world can also purchase items through online shopping. Adventures Footsteps of the Mobility Hub

vyttila mobility hub societyVyttila Mobility hub is a transit terminal for all ways of transportation which is going to be a big entrée to Kochi. Site proposed for the hub connects Allapuzha, Coimbatore, Idduki, Kottayam and Thrissur through National Highway 47. It will be the meeting point of land, air and ferry transportation. The project is implementing through three phases. The first phase, which consists of the terminal for long distance buses, started in December 2010. And it was commissioned on Feb 26, 2011. It is facilitated with a resting area for 65 buses.  And the second phase is the implementation of bus terminals and boat jetties and will begin soon. The third and last phase is to deliberate about new amendments.

The hub will be equipped with RFID (Radio frequency identification) to continuously monitor the buses plying from different places. Tamil Nadu and Karnataka bus services are going to open their ticket counters here soon. The state govt. is also considering a plan to connect the east Kochi with the upcoming mobility hub. But it will take a long time for the finishing the project. Being the Govt. funds are limited, the state is looking for the possibility to raise the funds for the project. If the Union bank supports the project by providing loan of about Rs. 100 crore, the second phase of the hub can be started. The Hub will also provide with multilevel car parking facilities and an advanced cafeteria. Electronic monitoring system to show the scheduled time of bus arrivals and departure will be a big help to the people. The full-fledged terminal is expected to be completed by 2013. With the introduction of Vyttila mobility hub there is going to be a tremendous change in the city. It will give Kochi a new face. Let’s wait for the miraculous vision to happen.

Kochi Metro Rail Project

kochi metro railway Metro Railway is coming to reality in Kochi. The project is initiated by the state Govt. and it has consulted Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) to start the work. DMRC will implement the project. The project was first proposed in the year 2006 and was expecting to be completed by 2010. But it was delayed by various reasons. The state has sanctioned Rs.159 crores to the DMRC for the purpose. The project could be completed within 3 years. And the state is waiting for the sanction from central Govt. The expected railway will be in the model of Chennai or Delhi Metro Railway. The railway has proposed to span from Aluva to Petta. And it comprises of 26 stations altogether. Connection of Aluva to Petta is expected to complete in three stages. The total project is expected to Rs. 4000 crores. The cost estimated five years ago was Rs. 2000 crores. As the first step in the implementation of the project, the busiest North over bridge will be widened.

Metro railway cooperation has formed to undertake the supervision of the project works. Moreover it will be a project of the people. A new website is launched for the public to watch news updates about the project. The corporation has conducted a contest among students for logo design in the last month and would select the most suitable one. And the winner will get a cash prize of Rs.5000.  The number of vehicles in the city has increased an average annual growth rate of 13%. As it concerns the Metro Rail will help to reduce the traffic in the industry city of Kerala. And it will ease the life of the ordinary people. As Kochi is a vastly populated city, it needs a multimode public transport system. Its expecting that a lot of Job opportunities will create regarding with The Kochi Metro Rail Project.
