Chelation Therapy-For Heart Diseases, Cancer Treatments
Chelation therapy is a treatment for mercury and lead poisoning. Chelation therapy is one of several effective treatments for heart disease, cancer, and other conditions. It has been approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA). Chelation therapy has also been used for treatment of many other conditions, such as gangrene, thyroid disorders, multiple sclerosis, muscular dystrophy, psoriasis, diabetes, arthritis, Alzheimer’s disease, and the improvement of memory, sight, hearing, and smell. It can be used as a cancer treatment. It removes “environmental toxins” from the body and blocks the production of harmful molecules called free radicals that can cause cell damage. In the 1950s, some scientists theorized that EDTA could remove calcium from the body. Large amount of Calcium build up on artery walls can cause heart diseases and the use of EDTA could unclog blocked arteries. Chelation therapy relieved chest pain caused by blocked arteries.
There are different types of EDTA. Calcium-disodium EDTA (Versenate) has been shown to be effective in controlling lead poisoning, and disodium EDTA (Endrate) is alleged to be an effective treatment for heart disease. Before starting chelation therapy the patient must done a complete medical checkup. Like diet analyzed and a special note made of allergies, blood and urine tested etc. Kidney function is carefully assessed. An ECG and chest X-ray is ordered. This treatment does not involve any hospitalization or anesthesia. Chelation is relatively nontoxic and risk-free.
