Palakkad of Kerala has become the first fully electrified district in India. It is being awarded with this title by Sushil Kumar Shinde,the Union Power Minister at Ottappalm today. The electricity had reached in all corners of the district. Even though electrification is totally done electricity is not there in some buildings where the electrical wiring is not completed. The wiring works has to be done by the customer himself. The electricity board has also established solar lamps where the construction of electric lines is costly. The electricity board of Kerala is also having plans to help the weaker families in doing the initial electrical wiring works.
