Homage to Poet A Ayappan
The funeral of poet A Ayyappan, who passed away last Thrusday in street will be held today at 3 pm today 26-10-2010. He was found unconscious near Thampanoor on Thursday.It is very sad that his dead body remained unidentified for hours. He was preparing for the journey to Chennai for receiving Ezuthachan award . A Ayyappan won Ezuthachan award for this year. The Award ceremony at Chennai thus became homage paying event.
His funeral was to be held on Monday but it got postponed because of the Elections.
Ayyappan’s funeral will be held at Shantikavadam at Thycadu, Trivandrum with official honours from State Government.
A Ayyappan, the great talented poet, lead a very simple life. His friends include common workers to great celebrities.
