In this developing world, we are filling our lives with modern products and modernization. Some years before was it started that we recognized the vast opportunities that the natural resources of our own land offered us. Among them the most prominent one was the coconut farming. As every part of the tree was useful and was widely grown all over the state it soon gained importance. The tree of Kerala from which the state is said to have acquired it’s name was slowly regaining it’s lost life. The ‘ilaneer’ which is the drink obtained from the tree was found highly nutritious and good for health. It was realized that comparing to the soft drinks in the market it was highly nutritious and healthy and hardly harmful. Since then huge importance was given to the section of coconut farming and different encouragements were given to the farmers who showed excellence in the field.

Yet another world coconut day has passed and we hope the golden days of the favorite tree of Keralites return…

As per the reports, the Aranmula airport has also got a place in the list. Some projects are being organised in cooperation with the central public sector.

Currently the UDF government is busy with their 100 days programme and as soon as the programme approaches completion, they will turn to this project. The government is to begin the evaluation and permission granting to the various projects of the meet soon after they deal with their assignments.

The main difference of this meet on comparing to the GIM that was conducted 10 years before is that this time only those projects which are 100 % sure to be fulfilled are included in the meet. The authorities are to avoid the previous experience of failing to make the planned projects practical.
