Kerala State Film Awards 2009
The Kerala state film awards were declared today (06-04-2010). The best film of the year award goes to “Palerimanikyam Oru Patira Kolapatakatinte Kadha”. The best actor and actress of the year are Mammotty and Shewtha Menon respectively for their performance in the movie “Palerimanikyam Oru Patira Kolapatakatinte Kadha. This movie had won totally 8 state awards.
The second best film award goes to the movie “Ramayam”. The 2nd best actor and actress awards are secured by Manoj .K. Jayan and Padmapriya respectively for their performance in “Kerala Varma Pazashi Raja”.
The best children’s film is “Keshu” directed by Shivan. The best male and female voice awards goes to Dr.K.J. Yesudas and Shreya Ghosal. The songs are from movies “Madyavenal” and “Banaras” respectively.
The best director is Hariharan for the movie “Kerala Varma Pazashi Raja”. The award for the best new director award goes to P.Sukumar for the movie “Swa.Le”. The best Screen play is by M.T Vasudevan Nair for the movie in “Kerala Varma Pazashi Raja”.
The best music director award goes to Mohan Sithara for the movie “Soofi Paranja Kadha”. Rafeeq Ahamed won the best lyricist award for the movie “Soofi Paranja Kadha”.
The best comedian award goes to Suraj Venjarammoodu and Jagathy Sreekumar secured special Jury prize for his outstanding performance in the movie “Ramayam”. Shoby Thilakan got the best dubbing artist award. Baby Nivethita is the best Child artist. She is elected for her performance in the movie “Bharmaram”. “Evida Swargamanu” of Roshan Andrews got the award of people favorite movie. “Ezuthatha Kadakal “ is best documentary of the year.
In Ghost House Inn releases tomorrow
The 3rd part of the In Hariharnagar hits the silver screen tomorrow (25-03-2010). The evergreen youths of Kerala Mahadevan, Appukuttan, Govindankutty and Appukuttan are coming once more to light the crackers of comedy. This time the movie is packed with some traces of horror too.
Army Training for Lt.Col Mohanlal
Lt. Col Mohanlal will undergo 3 days training at 112 Infantry Battalion of Territorial army in Kannur from March 25, 2010 onwards. This is for the first time Mohanlal is visiting the Army Centre after achieving the rank of Lieutenant colonel.
Mohanlal need to undergo hard and strict military training of 3 days. The training includes weapon practice, special war training for day and night etc. The training will start after special prayer ceremony at the temple in Army centre. Mohanlal will also participate in the march past conducted on 27th from Kottamaithanam ground. Various Territorial Army Officers who had done services in various parts of the nation will be honored in the ceremony held after the march past. This training is intended to make Lt. Col Mohanlal to a Complete army officer for the Territorial army.

After the very successful role of “Kunkan” in “Pazashiraja”, superstar Sarath Kumar of Tamil cinema comes for another venture in Malayalam. This time he is in the role of a wild life photographer for the movie “Oridathoru Postman”. The director is Shaji Azis.” Oridathoru Postman” is the movie from Shaji Azis after “Shakespeare MA Malayalayam”. Sharat kumar is also there with the project of “Christian Brothers”.
“Oridathoru Postman” narrates the story of a lazy father and his hardworking son. Kunchako Boban is the hero. The screen play is by K. Girish Kumar.
