There are different types of EDTA. Calcium-disodium EDTA (Versenate) has been shown to be effective in controlling lead poisoning, and disodium EDTA (Endrate) is alleged to be an effective treatment for heart disease. Before starting chelation therapy the patient must done a complete medical checkup. Like diet analyzed and a special note made of allergies, blood and urine tested etc. Kidney function is carefully assessed. An ECG and chest X-ray is ordered. This treatment does not involve any hospitalization or anesthesia. Chelation is relatively nontoxic and risk-free.

Chelation therapy is most often given into a vein, either as a short injection or it takes a period of two to four hours. A dose of a medication called ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid (EDTA) is delivered through an intravenous (IV) line. This medication seeks out and binds to minerals in your bloodstream. Once the medication binds to the minerals, it creates a compound that leaves your body in your urine. The treatment cycle may include twenty to forty injections. Chelation therapy can also be given by mouth. Each treatment usually takes several hours. You may feel a temporary stinging or burning sensation at the injection site. After the procedure, you can go about your daily activities. You’ll be able to drive yourself home, eat your usual diet and do chores normally. You may notice some swelling around your ankles or that you need to urinate more than usual. Both result from the amount of fluid that’s in the solution injected during chelation therapy. It’s very easy treatment and cost effective.

Side effects of chelation therapy include:

A burning sensation at the injection site, Fever, A sudden drop in blood pressure, Headache, Nausea, Vomiting, Inability to create new blood cells, Mineral deficiencies.

We all are the users of earphone for one or another purpose. It is a part of our daily life that assists us in chatting, listening to music etc. We must be cautious while using this device because the prolonged usage may increase the chance of infection in ears.
