IT PARK@ PALA

In this Information technology era, an IT park is the first step for a place on the path of development. It provides enormous job opportunities for the thousands of professionals passing out every year. Also the entire outlook of the place changes as it brings the people from distant places and paves the way for the development of different sectors there.

And this formula is going to workout for Kottayam also. The city renown for its literacy is now taking its first step in the IT field. Three IT parks were to launch in Kerala and it has been almost  certain that one of them is coming at Pala. The other two places are Malappuram and Thodupuzha .

It was during the term of the LDF government that it was decided to start IT parks not only at big cities but also in small towns. As per this decision a technopark was started at Kundara and Infoparks at Cherthala and Ambalapuzha. IT parks are also being constructed at Kasarkode and Kannur under Cyberpark. The project is to change the existing Technopark at Thiruvananthapuram, Infopark at Kochi and Cyberpark at Kozhikode into hubs and to arrange the new parks around them.

If the major Indian companies come forward with the IT business and new projects, it will certainly accelerate the speed of development of the place. It will not only benefit computer science students, but also the students of other trade will be able to find their careers building there. Pala will also take its starting step in the IT sector.

When the park launches here, it will be beneficial for the professionals of the neighboring districts now working in Bangalore and other metros. It may also pave the way for the emergence of IIT level higher education centers too.

The main challenge before this project is that it requires atleast a 100 acres of land and Valavoor has got the first preference in this respect.

This dream is not far if we blend our determination and imagination in our work. It also require the support of the natives. The most important advantage Pala has is that it is the joining place of  four state highways.

The fulfillment of this project calls for the joined effort of everyone, from common people to the officers at the higher level.
