They are coming to Kottayam for inaugurating the Kottayam showroom of Emmanuval silks. This is a once in a while opportunity for the fans of both superstars to meet them together.
The inauguration ceremony is on 10:20 am. The venue is the specially created pavilion in the police ground. There will be also a special music fest by singers Franko and Saynora.

Mohanlal as the goodwill ambassador for handloom and Khadi

The universal star Padma Shri Lt.Col. Mohanlal showed his willingness to become the ambassador and promoter of Kerala handloom and Khadi clothing. He took this decision on the request of Kerala’s Industrial minister Elamaram Kareem. Mohanlal is ready to conduct the promotion campaign without any remuneration. Mohanlal told that it is every ones responsibility to weave the life of the weavers of handloom and khadi. The handloom workers are now leading a miserable life. The promotion campaign will increase the usage of handloom and khadi, the traditional dress of Kerala of Kerala people, thus offering a ray of hope in the life of the weavers. Mohanlal also said that he is very happy if his good will ambassadorship creates new job opportunities in the field of handloom.
Mohanlal is now a part of different social awareness campaigns. Messages to the public in his voice are having a great influence in the mind of Kerala people.

MG University School of Technology and Applied Science (STAS) Pathanamthitta is organizing an IT fest Inset 2010 on 4th and 5th of March 2010. The fest will be held at Aban Arcade . The inauguration will be done at 10 am on March 4th by university vice chancellor Dr. Rajan Gurukkal. The fest includes seminars, projects and competitions that bring before us the latest trends in the field of Information technology. Various cultural activities and programs are also included in the fest. There will be a class about Advanced Networking by Dr. Tanudas of V.S.S.C Trivandrum on 4th March. On 5th there will a seminar on Cyber crime and Forensics by S.P K. Sanjay Kumar. Seminar on Biocomputing by Dr.Raju is another major attraction of the day. The afternoon section is for games and competitions that add color to the tech fest.

The Metro Manorama’s poll for Yeshudas’s best 70 songs is in progress. The musical fest will be held in association with the declaration of the best songs elected by people. The date of the event is not yet announced.
