Gandhijayanthi a thought of non violence

Today October 2, 2010 is the 142rd birthday of our father of the nation-Mahatma Gandhi.  United Nations Organization had declared October 2nd as the International day on nonviolence. Gandhiji was born on October 2, 1889. He was shot dead in a prayer meeting on January 30, 1948.

Gandhian thoughts are having world wide acceptance now. India gained Independence through his nonviolence protest methods.

Kerala government is organizing a special campaign from October 2nd -16th which include patriotism promotion journeys, cleaning campaigns, Medical camps, Social reformation activities etc.

Let us now remember his words now “My religion is based on truth and non-violence. Truth is my God. Non-violence is the means of realizing Him”.
