Milma ATM at Cochin
Milma, the pioneer of packaged milk in Kerala made another great leap by introducing Any Time Milk Counter. The first of the kind in India is able to dispense milk as well as curd in sachets. This vending machine is designed exclusively for Milma by a Chennai based firm. They had already provided 3 machines. The access to this vending machine is through prepaid smart cards. Milma targets the resident associations and housing colonies for making the new concept a hit. Resident associations are provided with a discount of 25% on the initial installation cost, which is around Rs.1 Lakh.
Veedu Exhibition 2010
Malayala Manorama’s magazine on house construction and interior design “Veedu” will be conducting an exhibition at Jawaharlal Nehru stadium, Cochin. Qualcomm Broadband Service in Kerala
Qualcomm got the sanction to launch Wireless broadband service in Kerala. They will launch their Kerala operations by next year. Qualcomm uses the Long Term Evaluation Technology (LTE). They will have a launch in 4 circles Delhi, Mumbai, Haryana and Kerala Circles. First launches will be concentrated in northern states. Kerala launch is expected in the middle of 2011. Qualcomm’s technology is able to provide a good experience of browsing all kind of internet enabled devices including smart phones, tablets etc. The Global holdings of Mumbai and Tulip telecom are the partners of Qualcomm in Wireless Internet services. Qualcomm is also in search of a partner with 3G license. Apart from Qualcomm the Infotel group of Mukesh Ambani will also launch their services in Kerala in 2011.
