Birla Group plans to invest Rs: 4,000 crore in Kerala
The latest news heard that, Kumar Mangalam Birla led Aditya Birla Group plans a Knowledge park in Kerala @ Kozhikode in Kerala. The project will be an estimated cost of Rs: 4,000 crore. The ruling LDF (Left Democratic Front) is going to discuss the project on today. The project is for the future technologies by setting up a knowledge Park and a branch of Birla Institute of Technology and Sciences.
The news heard this Knowledge park will be one of the largest of its kind in India, will come up on 320 acres of land at Mavoor in the suburbs of Kozhikode city on the site of a defunct pulp and fibre unit owned by Gwalior Rayons which is now known as Grasim. The news also heard that the Birla group also plans to set up an arm of Birla Institute of Technology which is also known as BIT @ the site @ state government’s request.
