E Tender System in Kerala PWD
Online E Tender application will get implemented in two weeks to make the tender system in PWD more efficient and transparent.This was announced by Minister Thomas Isaac who is currently having the responsibility of Public Works Department too. He also said in the press meet that there will be an update and review in the PWD manual by August 15, 2010. The transfer system of Engineers and other Officers will be made more transparent and corruption free as per the new decisions of the ministry.

The technology hub Andhra Pradesh is introducing a new concept to meet the demands of the IT and ITES sectors. They are now setting up BPOs in Jails where the prisoners are the professionals of the company. The new venture is to utilize the potentials of educated prisoners. This concept is a joint venture of Andhra Government and Radiant Info systems. Every activities of the company in Jail will be under close observation by the authorities. The working procedure will be as of normal BPOs Itself.The Company will be working round the clock in 3 shifts. In the first stage 250 prisoners will get the opportunity. The worker of this BPO will get a decent remuneration of 120 Rs/day. This is a welcomed amount as food and accommodation are free in jail already. Sometimes the prisoner may also get the experience certificate so that he can find a similar job when he is out of Jail.
Search for New Heroine
Malayalam movie named scene number 001 by the new director Snehajith, requires a new heroine. Nishanth Sagar is the hero. The movie requires a heroine knowing classical dance. This film will get produced under the banner of M square productins. The screenplay and dialogues are by Suresh Kochunni. The lyrics are by Vayalar Sarathchandra Varma and Music by the new Music director Sreemoolanagaram Tikak. Vinod Illampally is the Camera man. The shooting will start by this July.
Schedule change for Air India Flights from Trivandrum

Schedules for 2 Air India flights will change for the days from June 11 to June 15 2010. The daily IC 909 flight of Trivandrum -Chennai- Bangalore Trivandrum will be available only on Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday. The daily IC 911 flight of Trivandrum-Bangalore-Chennai-Trivandrum will be available only on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. There is no change in the departure time.
New time for Konkan trains

Indian railway announced new time schedule for the trains running in the Konkan route with effect from June 15, 2010. Among the trains from Kerala only Ernakulum –Nizamuddin Mangala express(2617) is having change in departure time. As per the new schedule Mangala express will leave Ernakulum station by 10.45 instead of 13.00.
The new arrival time for other trains are
Veraval Trivandrum (05.50), Okha Ernakulum(01.15), Netravati(19.45),BikanerTrivandrum(5.50), Chandigarh Kochuveli(18.30), Nizamuddin Trivandrum Rajadhani( 09.30), Gandhidham Nagercoil(06.00), Pune Ernakulum Purna Express(05.30), Ajmer Ernakulam(05.30), Nizamuddin Ernakulum Mangala(12.00), Lokmanya Tilak Kochuveli Garib Rath(23.30), Dehradun Kochuveli(19.10), Madgaon Ernakulam(12.30), Hapa Tirunelveli(22.30, reaches Trivandrum at 18.45)
