Kerala State Film Awards 2009
The Kerala state film awards were declared today (06-04-2010). The best film of the year award goes to “Palerimanikyam Oru Patira Kolapatakatinte Kadha”. The best actor and actress of the year are Mammotty and Shewtha Menon respectively for their performance in the movie “Palerimanikyam Oru Patira Kolapatakatinte Kadha. This movie had won totally 8 state awards.
The second best film award goes to the movie “Ramayam”. The 2nd best actor and actress awards are secured by Manoj .K. Jayan and Padmapriya respectively for their performance in “Kerala Varma Pazashi Raja”.
The best children’s film is “Keshu” directed by Shivan. The best male and female voice awards goes to Dr.K.J. Yesudas and Shreya Ghosal. The songs are from movies “Madyavenal” and “Banaras” respectively.
The best director is Hariharan for the movie “Kerala Varma Pazashi Raja”. The award for the best new director award goes to P.Sukumar for the movie “Swa.Le”. The best Screen play is by M.T Vasudevan Nair for the movie in “Kerala Varma Pazashi Raja”.
The best music director award goes to Mohan Sithara for the movie “Soofi Paranja Kadha”. Rafeeq Ahamed won the best lyricist award for the movie “Soofi Paranja Kadha”.
The best comedian award goes to Suraj Venjarammoodu and Jagathy Sreekumar secured special Jury prize for his outstanding performance in the movie “Ramayam”. Shoby Thilakan got the best dubbing artist award. Baby Nivethita is the best Child artist. She is elected for her performance in the movie “Bharmaram”. “Evida Swargamanu” of Roshan Andrews got the award of people favorite movie. “Ezuthatha Kadakal “ is best documentary of the year.

Logo Unveiling of Lulu Shopping Mall
The logo unveiling ceremony of Lulu shopping mall at Edapally, Kochi will be held tomorrow 11 am (03-04-2010) at Le Meridian Convention Centre. The logo unveiling will be done by Kerala chief minister Shri. V.S. Achuthanandan. The logo will be received by Shri. T.K.A. Nair, principal secretary to the prime minister. The chief guest of the function is H.E. Sheikha Lubna Al Quassimi who is the UAE minister of foreign trade. The function will be presided by Shri.Oomen Chandy, the leader of opposition. The website of the shopping mall will be launched by Shri. Kodiyeri Balakrishnan, Minister of Home and Tourism of Kerala. The Brochure of the shopping mall will be released by Prof.K.V. Thomas, Minister of State for Agriculture. The first brochure will be received by Shri. M.V. Nair, Chairman and Managing Director of Union Bank of India. The welcome speech will be delivered by Shri. Yusuffali M.A who is the Managing Director of EMKE group and Lulu International shopping mall.

The mall will have special area for promoting Kerala products. It will have a car parking space for more than 3000 cars. There will Family amusement center and 5 star luxury hotel by Marriott.
