Recruitment in Territorial Army
The open recruitment rally for the GD post in Territorial Army will get conducted on March 29, 2010. The venue is Garuda Lines at Tiruchirappally. The opportunities are for applicants from Kerala, Lakshadweep, Tamil Nadu and Karnataka can participate in this recruitment drive. The posting is temporary. The applicants must be currently employed. The applicants must report before 6 am at the recruitment center.
There are 20 posts vacant. The age of the applicants should be between 18-42. The salary is 7200. During the probation period, the salary is 5700.
The applicants should have a minimum of 160 cms height, 50 kgs of weight and chest width of 76-81 cms.
The minimum educational qualification is 10th standard pass with 45%. For applicants with higher educational qualification 45% is no bar.
The participants of the rally must bring the following certificates at the time of screening
1)Original copy of the nativity certificate.
2) 3 recent passport size photograph.
3)Community certificate.
4)Mark sheet.
5)Transfer Certificate.
6)Certificate of sports and games in district and state levels.
NOC certificates has to be presented by applicants working in Government and public sector firms.

Wireless Video Conferencing from Reliance
- Video Conference
Reliance communications will launch soon the Wireless video conferencing system in India. This is a joint venture of Reliance communications and Polycom. Polycom is the major players in the area of telepresence service. The new proposed system in India combines the Video conferencing system of Polycom and the Wireless broadband data card from Reliance. Reliance authorities said that the new system will considerably reduce the cost of video conferencing.
The marketing of this Wireless Video Conferencing system will be done by Reliance Webstore which is the Retail wing from Reliance ADB group. In the initial phase the launch will be done in 40 cities.
At present Reliance is providing video conferencing facility to 1500 corporate firms. This is at present achieved by 200 video conferencing suits of various Reliance world store throughout the country. This system is a costly one.
The new proposed system will introduce the convenience of video conferencing to various sectors such as Education, Event management, Media, Hospitality.
The wireless video conferencing from Reliance costs about 2 lakhs Rs. The connectivity cost per month is about 1500 Rs. This avails a data usage of 10 GB per month. Each MB after this limit costs 50 ps.
It’s now the time of 3D televisions
- 3D Television
The next revolution in the television industry after the high end variants of LCD and plasma is the 3D television. Samsung and Panasonic launched this new product almost in the same time last week. There was a tight competition between the major manufacturers of television sets for the pioneer position for 3D set.
The 3D television set is composed of Plasma television, DVD player and 3D eyewear. The DVD player included is the Blue ray one. The total cost is about 1,30,000 Rs. We can soon expect the 3D televisions from LG, Philips and Sony too.
