- GV Raja Football Tournament 2010
The Famous football tournament of Kerala, G V Raja football tournament will start from tomorrow. The last tournament was held 25 years ago. It was on that day the gallery broken and great causalities occurred. Trivandrum is now welcoming this football fest after more than 2 decades. The university stadium is fully equipped for this fest. The first match will be held at tomorrow evening. There will be separate galleries for students and woman. The tickets are available at rates of 20,30 and 50 rupees. The chair is available for Rs 50 ticket.
This is the 8th edition of the tournament. The tournament is held in memory of Coloner Goda Varma Raja.The tournament is upto February 15. There will be a total of 19 games. The Kerala teams participating in the tournament are Malabar united, Josco FC, Golden Threads, Trivandrum Eleven, Kerala University and Titanium. The other teams include Vasco and Seas from Goa, Mohun Began, Army Eleven, Manirpur Eleven etc.

Yesudas, Mamooty and Shobhana in the remake of Mile Sur Mera Tumhara | Phir Mile Sur
Mamootty, Shobhana, Dr. K.J. Yesudas and his son Vijay Yesudas in the remake of the India’s fabourate song Mile Sur Mera Tumhara. Mamooty is only actor from Malayalam got the chance with ‘Phir Mile Sur’. Dr. K. J. Yesudas and Vijay Yesudas sung together the famous stansa “Ente Swaravum, Ningalude Swaravum, othu cheernnaal Nammude Swaramaayi”. The actress and the famous Bharatnatyam Dancer Shobhana also got the chance to perform. This is really a great honour for all the Malayalees all around the world.
The song was actually recreated by the team of Zoom TV. In the new version of the ‘Mile Sur Mera Tumhara’ more than 70 national icons are joined with it. The production took a total of 60 days, with the famous destinations in India like 13 famous cities and all. It took a 30 days of post production.

Captain Krishnan Nair of Leela group, Ashtavaidyan E.T Narayana Musse, “Panchavadiyam” specialist Kuzur Narayana Marar, Dr.P.K Varrior of Kottackal Arya Vaidyashala, A.R Rahman, Amir Khan, Mallika Sarabhai and Illayaraja got Padma Bhushan.

(25-01-2010)News sources predicted that A.R.Rahman and Capt. Krishnan Nair of Leela group will be awarded Padma Bhushan. The awards will be declared tomorrow that is on India’s 60th Republic day. The Padma awards will be given to 132 people including 12 foreigners. Some reports states that there are about 10 Malayalis made the achievement this time.
