New security software for Cyber cafes in Kerala

Kerala police will soon launch the user identification software for Internet cafes in Kerala. This decision is made because of the increasing cyber crime rate in the state. The recent terrorist incidents also lead to making this decision. The inauguration of this security program was conducted at Cochin by the Deputy Police commissioner George Varghese. The software is to protect the cyber cafe owners from the risk of crimes done by the browsers coming here. The threatening e-mails send to the VIPs’ as well as terrorist activities will come to an end on the launch of this software.

The security software is named as “Click cyber café” and is developed by Ideacts innovations a Mumbai based company. According to this new system, the software saves the café user’s name, photo, identity card, login and log off time details of browsing and phone number. The user will be permitted to browse only after making entry to this software.

All the users will be provided with an All India identity card. These details will be saved in a centralized data base. This is an effective system as the majority of Internet users in India is using cyber cafe for browsing. The software will be provided to the cyber café’s all around Kerala Free of cost. This can make the browsing more secure.
