The released Film Kerala Cafe with ten directors is a successful film of Malayalam film industry. The innovative idea of the combination of 10 directors for a single film for the first time in the world became a success. All the directors especially Ranjith who too up the major responsibility of combining the ten short film into one can be proud of them selves.
The stories of Kerala Cafe are appealing to the audience’s mind. ‘Nostalgia’ by the director M Padmakumar and cast by Dileep, Navya Nair, Babu Namboodiri, etc. adds special beauty to the film Kerala Café. Shankar Ramakrishnan’s direction of ‘Island Express’ is cast by Prithviraj, Jayasurya, Rahman, Kani, etc.
The ten stories of Kerala Cafe are nourished with the actors of Kerala Cafe and the director Shaji Kailas in his part of Lalitham Hiranmayum acted mainly by Suresh Gopi and Jyothirmayi. One of the directors of Kerala Café Uday Ananthan in his Mrithunjayam brought Fahad Fazil, Thilakan, Reema Kalungal, etc. to bring out his idea well. The actors of Kerala Café including Salim Kumar, Kalpana, Santhadevi, etc. under the direction of Anwar Rashid in ‘Bridge’ and actresses of Kerala Café including Shwetha Menon in ‘Aviramam’ by B. The combination of Mammootty and Sreenivasan in Lal Jose’ ‘Puram Kazhchakal’ makes the movie Kerala Café the best entertainer movie of Malayalam. The combination of ten different film makers is a hit in the theatres of Kerala.

Malayalam film Swantham Lekhakan hits the theatres in Kerala. In Swantham Lekhakan (Swa.Le.) actor Dileep comes again in the role of a journalist. The other feature of Swantham Lekhakan Malayalam movie is that it is the return of Gopika after her marriage to the film industry. Dileep in SWALE is the local reporter of a Malayalam news paper. Dileep as Unni Madhavan in the film Swantham Lekhakan works over time as a dedicated staff and therefore gets no sufficient time even to look after his carrying wife. Gopika in Swantham Lekhakan acts a pregnant woman.

Commonwealth Games Delhi 2010
The XIX Commonwealth Games is to be staged in India in October 2010. The baton is handed over to the President of India Prathibha Pateel by Queen Elizabeth. The programme was conducted right in front of the Buckingham Palace, London. The first Indian Olympic Gold winner Abhinav Bindra gave life to the baton relay in London on 29th October 2009.
The Indian President Prathibha Pateel at first handed over the Commonwealth Games baton to the Indian sports minister Mr. M.S. Gill and the minister later handed over the baton to the Commonwealth Games organization president Mr. Suresh Kalmadi and then it finally came to the hands of Mr. Abhinav Bindra, the hero of Indian sports. A good number of Indian fabulous past and present sport stars including Vijendar Singh, Suseel Kumar, Karnam Malleswary, Sania Mirza, Milkha Singh, Gurbachan Singh Raghava, Prakash Padukone, Misha Greyval, Dileep Turkey and Kapil Dev were present at the program. As part of the program there were some entertainment programs staged in London which included some of the traditional dance forms of India including Kathak and Bharatanatyam. The design of the baton is superb and praise worthy.
The baton relay in 240 days will travel through all the 70 Commonwealth Games nations and will reach India on 25th June 2009. The baton will have a long time journey in India about 100 days and will get into the Javaharlal Nehru Stadium on 3rd of October 2009. By October 3, 2009 the baton will have traveled 190,000 kms in 340 days. Indians can be proud that the last 100 days of the 340 days of the Commonwealth baton relay will be within India.

Malayalam upcoming film Yodha 2 is going to rock the theatres in Kerala. The first part of it called Yodha was a great success. The famous music director A.R. Rahman’s presence as the music director of the movie Yodha was a plus point of the movie. The song composed by A.R. Rahman in the Malayalam movie Yodha still is a hit. The acting of the hero Mohanlal and the comedian Jagathy Sreekumar in Yodha are unforgettable. All the scenes of the Mollywood film Yodha are still worth watching.
Let us hope that an unforgettable dialogue like “Kalangiyilla…” may be repeated in Yodha 2 also. The director of Yodha is not the director of Yodha 2. Instead of the director of Yodha, Mr. Sangeeth Sivan, his brother Sanjeev Sivan is the director of Yodha 2. Sanjeev Sivan does the script and direction of Yodha 2. Yodha 2 is a 3D film which will start its shooting in April 2010. Yodha 2 director Sanjeev Sivan was inspired by the film ‘Golden Child’ to start up the Malayalam film Yodha 2. This film narrates the story a Lama boy. The Lama boy will be the central character of the film. The boy in certain circumstance reaches Kerala and we will see what happens to him in Kerala in theatres.
But don’t expect the actor and hero of Yodha, Mohalal in Yodha 2. Instead a famous and fabulous young hero will be on the screen to help out the Lama boy in Yodha 2. Jagathy as in Yodha will be in full force of more comedy in the new film. The Tamil actors Sreekanth and Pasupathy will also appear in the sequence of Yodha. The film will be done in Hindi too. The Bollywood film of the Lama boy will be starred by Imran Khan, Dani, Jackey Sherof, Aiswarya Dugan, et al. The 3D technology of Yodha 2 will be main attraction of Yodha 2 other than the central character of the Lama boy.
The happy news for the music lovers of Kerala is that the Oscar Winner Music director A.R. Rahman and Golden Globe award winner Richard Horowist compose the music of Yodha 2. The music directors of Yodha 2, the Mollywood film will hit the theatres in India. And with the participation of Jagathy Sreekumar in Yodha 2 there will be no starvation of comedy in Yodha 2.
